TDH is basically fine. We don't *need* any more people - as raid teams form and reform, some needs fluctuate, but as a guild, we're good. I'm not recruiting, nor looking to accept recruits.

Now, TDH has traditionally said 'we'll invite friends and family'. This means IRL buds, or buds you've known for a while outside WoW, not someone cool you met while questing in the Fjord or a guy you used to be in this guild with that one time at band camp.

We do sometimes make some exceptions (bribery, esp with hot pics, helps), but basically, TDH is closed except for the IRL loophole. Just wanted to clarify the status for not only TDH leaders, but everyone.

Until further notice, only alts of existing members are invited.

For some reason I keep getting the feeling this is related to the "Can anybody give me gold" Thing going on in that other post.

You know, there was one day that I posted a stupid joke, and yes it was meant as a joke. I had finally got to Dalaran and knowing that everyone had surely seen the mounts they have there for sell, asked in the /g chat if anyone had 750 g i could borrow. One of the other guildies and I turned it into a running joke, so at least someone took it as funny. After posting it I felt so stupid and wanted to apologize, but decided to leave well enough alone. If I offended anyone with that I apologize. I feel the same as everyone else about people SERIOUSLY spamming the /g chat for gold. The wife and I are farming mad amount of leather, ore and bars to get our flyers, even though training cost a FORTUNE. It sucks, but that's part of it. Rihl, I back you 100%.

I don't think that a joke is what he and the other leaders are talking about. And me personally I think a joke would need to be way over the line to be apologized for and lets face it with this group its less of a line and more a well trod upon smudge.

No I was referring to the post about the leet punks and spammers. At least with this guild we are not, aside from typos and the occasional silly moment, contributing to the death of the English language.

And really I'm comfortable with this guild and hope they are comfortable enough with me that if I got out of hand or was being a menace that someone would message me and say "STOP BEING AN ASSHAT!" .

Oh I totally agree. I was just trying to find out where that smudge was. If anyone felt that i crossed that smudge, that's what I was apologizing for. In terms of the speech, I know I have my share of typos trying to type really fast while trying to keep up with my wife's dk, but there is just a point when it becomes too much, like someone said earlier, just immature.

Only vaguely. We've had a fair number of new folks lately that I'm not sure would fall into our clarified loophole above, so this is more about the TDH front door than any bouncer action.

yeah lol - that was back when we xferred to Area 52 I believe and you were in college and there was something about beer and nymphs....or was it nymphos?
